Description
A pillar candle looks twice as good when it is lifted off the table. The Ash Wood Pedestal Pillar Candle Holder is a round, shallow plate on a short sculpted stem, turned from pale ash wood with a soft raised rim that catches any drips. Stand it on a mantelpiece, a windowsill or a coffee table and it gives a single candle the presence of a centrepiece.
Ash has a fine, straight grain and a light, creamy colour that sits beautifully with linen, stone and white walls. The holder is sanded smooth and finished with a clear oil for a natural matte sheen. The plate is wide enough for a chunky pillar candle up to 10 cm across, and the solid stem and broad foot keep it steady.

Use safely: never leave a lit candle unattended, keep it out of reach of children and pets and away from draughts, curtains and anything that can catch fire. Stand the holder on a stable, level, heat-resistant surface and only use candles of the size stated above that sit firmly upright. Extinguish candles before they burn down to the holder and never let a flame touch the wood.
Care: wipe with a soft dry or slightly damp cloth and dry straight away. Do not soak, put in the dishwasher or leave next to a radiator or in strong direct sunlight. Oak and ash are natural materials, so grain, knots and tone vary from piece to piece - yours will be close to the photos but never identical.

Care & Safety
Candles: trim the wick to 5 mm before every lighting, let the first burn reach the edge of the vessel (around 2 hours), burn for no longer than 3 hours at a time and stop when about 1 cm of wax remains. Never leave a burning candle or tealight unattended; keep it on a stable, heat-resistant surface, away from children, pets, draughts and anything that can catch fire. Full safety information is on the label underneath every candle. Candle holders: use only candles of the size stated on the product page and never let a flame touch the wood. Oak and ash: wipe with a soft cloth and keep away from radiators. Stoneware and glass: hand wash only - not dishwasher safe. Throw and cushion: follow the care label - wash at 30 degrees, do not tumble dry. Floating shelf: use fixings suitable for your wall and do not exceed 10 kg.
